Job description

We're seeking an experienced Attorney to support commercial real estate and corporate transactions. The ideal candidate will have strong transactional experience, along with practical litigation experience, including court appearances and drafting and filing pleadings.

Candidates with primarily litigation experience who also have meaningful exposure to real estate and/or corporate transactions will also be considered.

Responsibilities

• Draft, review, and negotiate commercial real estate and corporate transactional documents.
• Manage transactions involving acquisitions, development, financing, leasing, and related matters.
• Advise clients on business, corporate, real estate, and transactional matters.
• Handle litigation matters as needed, including preparing and filing pleadings and appearing in court.
• Work closely with clients to understand their legal and business objectives and provide practical legal advice.
• Build and maintain strong, long-term client relationships.
• Collaborate with other attorneys and professionals to efficiently manage matters from inception through resolution.

Requirements

• J.D. from an accredited law school.
• Licensed and in good standing to practice law in Texas.
• Minimum of 1+ years of experience in real estate and/or corporate transactions, with strong hands-on transactional experience preferred.
• Litigation experience is required, including practical experience drafting and filing pleadings and appearing in court.
• Experience handling both transactional and litigation matters is strongly preferred.
• Candidates with primarily litigation experience who have meaningful experience or familiarity with real estate and/or corporate transactions will also be considered.
• Strong understanding of commercial real estate, corporate, and business matters.
• Excellent written and verbal communication skills.
• Strong negotiation, analytical, and problem-solving skills.
• Ability to independently manage multiple matters and deadlines.
• Strong client-service skills and the ability to develop and maintain client relationships.

Ideal Candidate

The ideal candidate is a well-rounded attorney who can handle both sides of a practice: strong transactional work combined with practical litigation experience. We are particularly interested in attorneys who are comfortable drafting and negotiating transactional documents while also having the ability to handle litigation-related responsibilities, including pleadings and court appearances.
