SMB Team in Fort Myers, FL seeks an Associate Attorney specializing in transactional commercial real estate law. The ideal candidate has 2 to 6 years of relevant experience, proactive and organized, with strong interpersonal and communication skills.

You will be integral to a collaborative legal team. Responsibilities include drafting PSAs, handling acquisition, development and construction deals, reviewing title issues, and negotiating leases and related documents.

Qualifications

• Experience drafting Purchase and Sales Agreements (PSAs).
• Handling real estate transactions, including acquisition, development and construction for commercial real estate.
• Analysis and resolution of title, survey, and title exception issues for planned development activities.
• Comprehensive contract drafting and negotiation with the ability to handle commercial transactions contract-to-close, buyer and seller side, including acquisitions, dispositions, property sales, loan document review, bank document review, landlord-tenant law, and commercial leasing.
• Excellent academic credentials and proven writing abilities.
• Deadline-driven.
• Active Florida Bar license in good standing.

Responsibilities

• Draft a PSA on commercial property.
• Manage real estate transactions from acquisition to close, including financing.
• Review titles, surveys and title exceptions for development projects.
• Draft and negotiate commercial lease and loan documents.
• Assist in negotiations and closing of transactions.
• Collaborate with a team of attorneys on complex deals.
• Maintain high-standard legal research and writing quality.
