Salary Range

$155,000–$185,000 per year depending on experience.

Key Responsibilities

• Assist on legal matters, with an emphasis on land acquisition
• Manage zoning entitlement including analysis of zoning codes and presenting projects at zoning meetings throughout the greater St. Louis Metropolitan Area
• Provide legal advice related to land acquisition and development
• Draft and negotiate land acquisition contracts, development agreements, and related documents
• Work with our in‑house land development team and legal team to analyze due diligence and close land acquisition projects including detailed analysis of title and survey issues and drafting easements and other title‑related resolution documents
• Manage litigation matters including consulting with and coordinating outside counsel as necessary
• Assist with dispute resolution involving municipalities, contractors, property owners, and regulatory agencies
• Provide advice regarding legal issues in construction and warranty
• Report directly to the President of Land Development and the General Counsel

• Must be capable of managing and tracking a high‑volume caseload with many priorities and deadlines
• Excellent negotiation and drafting skills
• Exceptional written communication and oral presentation skills
• Excellent analytical and problem‑solving skills with keen attention to detail
• Ability to analyze and solve complex title and survey issues
• Ability to work collaboratively in a team environment and manage multiple projects simultaneously
• Must be licensed and able to practice law in Missouri
• A law degree from an ABA accredited law school
• Minimum of 2 years of experience in real estate law
