Job summary

Michael Best is looking for a Real Estate Midlevel Associate to join their growing Real Estate Practice in Wisconsin. The successful candidate will draft and negotiate legal documents, manage real estate financing transactions, and conduct due diligence. A J.D. from an ABA accredited law school and a minimum of four years in transactional law are required. The firm offers comprehensive benefits including medical, dental, and vision, as well as a hybrid work policy allowing remote work for up to 2.5 days a week.

Michael Best & Friedrich LLP’s growing Real Estate Practice is looking to add a Real Estate Midlevel Associate to our Green Bay, Madison, Milwaukee, or any of our NC offices. The candidate should have a minimum of four years’ real estate or related transactional law experience.

Responsibilities and Experience

• Drafting and negotiating purchase agreements and closing documents
• Title, survey and other due diligence review and management
• Real estate financing transactions
• Real estate acquisitions and dispositions
• Commercial lease transactions
• Zoning, land use, and condominiums

Qualifications

Knowledge Base & Education:

• J.D. from an ABA accredited law school
• Excellent academic credentials
• A minimum of four years’ real estate or related transactional law experience
• Ability to learn and embrace new skills and best practices as the position evolves and firm needs change
• Ability to work well under pressure and meet tight deadlinesAbility to work well independently as well as effectively within a team
• Ability to develop relationships and foster teamwork at all levels of the firm
