Berkadia is seeking a Real Estate Analyst for its Seniors Housing Debt Capital Markets team in Bethesda, MD. The role focuses on analyzing property and portfolio finances, supporting deal structuring, and preparing investor materials.

You will engage with senior leaders during loan submissions and assist in closings. The ideal candidate has 2–3+ years in CRE debt markets, excellent communication, and strong Excel-based modeling skills.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree in finance, real estate, or a related field is required.
• Strong analytical skills with the ability to interpret financial statements and models.
• Proven experience with financial modeling and debt capital markets in commercial real estate.

Discover your next opportunity at Berkadia and apply today.The Real Estate Analyst will be an essential contributor to the growing Seniors Housing Debt Capital Markets team, leveraging expertise in Commercial Real Estate finance to lead analytical initiatives and support the firm’s professionals in meeting client needs. This individual possesses experience in real estate transactions, including conducting due diligence, valuing properties, sizing loans, and managing key processes to ensure successful transaction closings.Responsibilities:Review and analyze property, portfolio and company level financials including current and historical income and expense of a property together with all additional and relevant information to determine deal viability, structures and terms and conditions of capital raise.Prepare Offering Materials for investors which includes both qualitative and quantitative rationale and support for the investment opportunity, market analysis, loan structuring using supporting information and additional relevant informationAnswer due diligence questions from lenders through an investment process, analyze and provide additional information on request.Compile market research data and maintain databases of relevant market data in the senior housing industry and broader real estate capital markets.Interact directly with senior leaders at borrower and investors throughout the loan submission and underwriting process.Assist Managing Directors in their marketing of company products and services.Review submissions to other lenders generated by in-house closing/processing staff.Perform financial cash flow modeling and analysis of company financial models, rent rolls, etc.Complete property inspections as needed.Assist in the closings of transactions as needed.Some travel required – generally industry events, property inspections or marketing.Other duties as assigned.Preferred Qualifications:Bachelor’s degree from a four-year college or university2-3+ years of experience in commercial real estate debt capital markets, banking, private equity or equivalent roleExperience in senior living preferred but not requiredReal estate brokers license preferred but not requiredExcellent written and verbal communication skills.
