About You
The Real Estate Analyst, working in tandem with and supporting the Real Estate Representatives, is responsible for existing lease renewals, amendments, remodels, expansions and the development of new retail locations for the Wakefern banners. The Real Estate Analyst will be responsible for addressing property management issues for our stores and will develop a strong rapport with our landlords as the first point of contact. This role aggressively supports Wakefern and its Member Companies with their long-term growth objectives and immediate property needs. This position is located in Edison, NJ
What You’ll Do
- Support and learn from the Real Estate Representatives.
- Maintain the highest degree of analytical and technical competence in the field of real estate and site selection.
- Review and screen initial site submittals received from developer/broker/landlord for basic requirements. Recommend potential sites/locations to the Real Estate Representatives for approval to engage in active and specific discussions with the owner of the site/location.
- Evaluate supermarket competition.
- Assist the Real Estate Representatives and Members Companies with lease renewals, amendments, remodels, expansions.
- Assist the Real Estate Representatives and Members Companies with property management and lease administration issues.
- Expedite the preparation of all legal documents relative to an approved site.
- Maintain a professional relationship with existing developers, brokers, landlords and co-tenants and establish new and influential contacts in the real estate field.
- Assist the Lease Administrators in overseeing, and maintaining all lease information, including appropriate documentation of all time sensitive data relative to leases (e.g., lease expirations, renewal options, cancellation options, expansion options, rights of first refusal/offer, insurance certificates, estoppels, SNDA’s etc.)
- Interact daily with Market Research, Engineering, Construction, Design, Purchasing, Finance and Corporate Legal departments.
- Interact with the Site Development Committee when requested.
- Actively utilize the Prolease lease management database.
- Assist with compiling Real Estate presentations.
What We Are Looking For
- College graduate required.
- Prior real estate experience preferred, but not necessary.
- Ability to organize priorities and multitask.
- Ability to meet deadlines and work with limited supervision.
- Demonstrated organizational and problem-solving skills with the ability to handle and follow through on multiple projects.
- Strict adherence to maintaining confidentiality.
- Strong personal computer skills including Microsoft Office Word, Excel, Power Point, and Outlook.
- Excellent written and verbal communication skills.
- Strong mathematical skills.
- Demonstrated customer service and teamwork skills with a willingness to assist others.
- Must possess a valid driver’s license.

- Ability to sit in front of a computer screen for long periods of time.
- Ability to travel within Wakefern trade area (10 states), including overnight travel.
