ORC is seeking a full-time, non-exempt entry-level Right of Way Agent (salary based on experience $60,000 - $75,000/year) to work on projects in the New York Metropolitan area. The selected candidate must reside in the New York Metropolitan area and will work primarily at the ORC office in Manhattan for Metropolitan Transportation Authority projects. Candidate can expect to travel locally and throughout the state about 50% of the time based on project demands.

Responsibilities:
The Right of Way Agent is a training role working alongside the project team to learn various disciplines of the right-of-way project lifecycle. Responsibilities include shadowing team members, learning laws and regulations, negotiating property acquisitions, preparing real estate documents, performing property research, and supporting administrative tasks. The goal is to develop from an Agent to an Agent 1 and work independently on projects as they become available.
Qualifications:
Preferred: Prior real estate experience or experience with the Department of Transportation.
