JOB SUMMARY

We are seeking a highly motivated, early career Real Estate Investment Analyst to join our investment team. The Analyst will play a critical role in evaluating and underwriting a diverse range of commercial real estate investment opportunities across various asset classes, geographies, and capital structures. This position offers an excellent opportunity to gain valuable experience in the real estate investment industry and contribute to the success of our investment portfolio by directly working alongside and supporting the company’s internal investment committee. In this role, the analyst will be involved with the development, structuring, and financing of transactions and attend both internal and external meetings, negotiations, and due diligence sessions.

RESPONSIBILITIES

Investment Analysis & Modeling

  1. Perform in-depth financial analysis and modeling of commercial real estate investments, including equity and structured finance investments, across various asset classes (e.g., multifamily, industrial, student housing)
  2. Develop and maintain sophisticated financial models using industry-standard methodologies (e.g., discounted cash flow analysis, pro forma income statements, balance sheets)
  3. Analyze market trends, competitive landscapes, and property-specific factors to assess investment risks and opportunities
  4. Leverage & Improve our utilization of underwriting and research support software, including RedIQ, AtlasX, CoStar, Yardi, and future new services

Investment Committee Support

  1. Work closely with the investment team to draft memoranda for internal and external use
  2. Development of presentations
  3. Participate actively in Investment Committee meetings, presenting investment recommendations and engaging in insightful discussions
  4. Contribute to the development and evolution of the investment strategy and new investment initiatives
  5. Act as primary meeting note taker and ad hoc memo author
  6. Support and assist in the evolution of Corridor’s House View and other Tailored Investment Theses
  7. Maintain and manage a robust pipeline of potential investment opportunities utilizing existing pipeline management software

Research & Analysis

  1. Conduct independent research and analysis using suite of data resources on relevant market data, economic trends, and industry best practices to support investment decision-making
  2. Develop and maintain custom research initiatives to enhance the Investment Committee's understanding of market dynamics and investment opportunities

Capital Markets & Broker Relations

  1. Collaborate with the investment team in interfacing with investment sales brokers as well as equity and debt capital markets teams

QUALIFICATIONS

  1. Bachelor’s degree in Finance, Real Estate, Economics, or a related field
  2. 6 months - 2 years of experience in commercial real estate investment analysis or a related field (preferred) - Credit given for relevant internship experience
  3. Strong analytical and quantitative skills with a proven ability to analyze complex financial data and develop sound investment recommendations
  4. Advanced proficiency in Microsoft Excel, including financial modeling, data analysis, and visualization
  5. Excellent written and verbal communication skills with the ability to effectively present complex information to both technical and non-technical audiences
  6. Strong work ethic, attention to detail, and the ability to work independently and collaboratively as part of a team
  7. Strong interest in the commercial real estate industry and a desire to build a long-term career in real estate investments
  8. Desire to learn, grow, and take on additional responsibilities within a company
