Job summary

Sentinel Peak Capital Partners in Dallas seeks a Staff Accountant to manage all accounting functions, including month‑end, quarter‑end, and year‑end statements; bank and general ledger reconciliations; preparation of financial statements; and accounts payable/receivable.

You will coordinate with external CPA firms and onsite property management teams, ensuring GAAP compliance across multi‑entity ownership structures, with proficiency in Excel and RealPage as applicable.

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s degree in accounting or finance required.
• 4–6 years of accounting experience required, preferably in real estate or property management.
• CPA designation preferred.
• Strong knowledge of GAAP and multi-entity ownership structures.
• Proficiency in Microsoft Excel and accounting software; RealPage experience preferred.

Responsibilities

• Oversee accounting for a portfolio of properties and manage month-end, quarter-end, and year-end close.
• Prepare financial statements and trial balances; perform reconciliations.
• Coordinate with external CPA firms, auditors, and tax advisors.
• Provide guidance to onsite property management teams and mentor junior staff.
• Review journal entries and ensure accurate month-end closings and variance explanations.
• Assist with budgeting, forecasting, and cash flow management.
