The Community Accountant Is Responsible For General Ledger Accounting, Monthly Financial Reporting, Cash Management, Disbursement Approval And Annual Budget Preparation For a Portfolio Of Client Community Associations. The Community Accountant Is The Primary Interface With Community Managers, Community Boards Of Directors And Real Estate Developers On Financial Matters. Responsibilities Include The Following:

• Monthly close, including accrual entries, and publication of financial reports including financial notes and a variance analysis versus budget
• Identifying billing, A/R and A/P issues and resolving with internal service groups
• Forecasting cash flow and preparing a periodic funding analysis for developing communities
• Annual community budget preparation with recommendations to the community manager and client Boards
• Review and approval of vendor invoices and disbursement requests
• Bank and investment account reconciliations for non-banking partner accounts
• Cash management and consultation
• Serving as a financial liaison for community managers, community Boards and other Shared Services team members
• Answering questions and providing information for external auditors and tax return preparers.
• Plus other work related tasks as needed
