NorthPoint Development is seeking a Real Estate Accountant to support the accounting department on construction projects, coordinating with Development Managers to monitor budgets and prepare monthly journal entries using Yardi.

The role requires an accounting or business degree; a Master’s in accounting or business and CPA license are preferred, with two+ years of experience. We offer strong benefits including medical, dental, 401k matching, scholarships, and on-site gym.

Qualifications

• Accounting or business degree required.
• Master’s in business or accounting preferred.
• CPA license preferred.

Responsibilities

• Coordinate with Development Managers to prepare and monitor construction project budgets, primarily via Yardi.
• Code invoices, obtain approvals, update budgets, and prepare ad-hoc reports.
• Prepare monthly construction draw packages for lenders.
• Compile monthly and quarterly financial reports for NorthPoint and investors.
• Prepare and enter monthly journal entries during period closures.
• Collaborate with property managers on operating budgets and forecasts.
• Complete bank reconciliations monthly for all entities.
• Manage capital funding for projects from equity or loan sources.
• Assist with annual tax returns and financial audits.
• Prepare depreciation and amortization schedules and record assets.
