Job summary

Nova Biomedical is seeking a production associate to assemble and package reagent kits on the assigned packaging line. You will set up lines, perform inspections, operate packaging equipment, and document results to meet manufacturing demands.

Candidates should read/write English, have basic math skills, and be able to work alone or in a team. GMP knowledge and QC familiarity are valued. Location: Waltham, MA, 6:00 AM - 2:30 PM shift.

Qualifications

  • High school diploma or GED.
  • Ability to read/write English and follow written and verbal instructions.
  • Basic math skills and accurate counting.
  • Able to work independently or within a team.
  • Prior manufacturing/production experience preferred.
  • GMP knowledge desired; OSHA knowledge a plus.
  • Proficient with company software tools (Master Control, UKG, ClearCompany).

Responsibilities

  • Assemble/packaging on the assigned line to meet production timelines.
  • Set up the designated packaging line as needed.
  • Perform in-process inspections and document findings per AP.
  • Operate packaging equipment (taping machines, pallet jacks, conveyors).
  • Carry out additional duties as assigned to support manufacturing demands.

Job Summary

To assemble and package reagent kits in accordance with the Assembly Procedure (AP), and to perform additional production tasks as required to meet manufacturing demands.

Responsibilities
  • The individual is responsible for assembling/packaging functions on an assigned packaging line for various kits within the established time frame. He/she must be flexible and mobile so as perform on any section of the packaging line as required.
  • Assist with setting up the assigned packaging line where he/she will be performing packaging duties.
  • Conduct in-process inspections/verification of packaging material and products and document findings as needed or as specified in the AP.
  • Independently perform specific packaging tasks as required.
  • Operate various packaging equipment, including automatic/manual taping machines, manual/electric pallet jacks, packaging line conveyor belts, flow racking systems, and other devices as needed.
  • Other duties as assigned.
Experience Requirements
  • Able to read and write English, and capable of following both written and verbal instructions.
  • Must be able to perform basic math and perform counting with accuracy.
  • Must be able to work alone or as part of a team.
  • Related experience in a manufacturing or production environment is desired
  • Must have a positive attitude, with a willingness to learn and adapt to changing demands.
  • Good Manufacturing Practice (GMP) knowledge is desired
  • Knowledge of OSHA safety standards is a plus
  • Knowledge of Quality System Regulations (QSR) is a plus
  • Prior manual or electric pallet jacks experience is a plus
  • Basic computer skills for accessing emails, corporate platforms such as Master Control, UKG, ClearCompany etc.
  • High school diploma or equivalent (GED)
Physical Requirements And Working Conditions
  • Must be able to perform tasks that may involve extended periods of time standing, sitting, pushing, pulling, lifting, bending, kneeling, reaching, twisting, turning, climbing steps and carrying up to 25 pounds several times/hours a day.
  • Require repetitive use of arms/wrist/hands while setting up/working with equipment/computer throughout the shift.
  • Will require but not limited to the use of Personal Protective Equipment (PPE) that may include safety glasses, safety shoes, lab coat, bouffant, disposable gloves, face shield, hearing protection and nuisance mask
  • Must be able to distinguish colors
  • Must have good hand/eye coordination and visual acuity

Work Location:

Waltham, MA Monday-Friday 6AM-2:30PM.

Targeted Salary Range:

$21.50-22.77
