Job summary

Assisting Hands Home Care is seeking compassionate, flexible Part-Time Caregivers to support seniors and individuals with disabilities at clients' homes in the Topeka area.

You will provide non-medical in-home care, assist with daily living activities, light housekeeping, meals, and companionship, while maintaining open communication with our team. No prior experience is required as we provide training, and opportunities for career advancement exist within the Lead Caregiver program.

Qualifications

• Must be 18 years or older with a High School Diploma or GED.
• Must have a current negative TB test within the last year (2-Step OR QuantiFERON).
• Must have a current active CPR certification.

Responsibilities

• Provide non-medical in-home support to help clients maintain independence and quality of life.
• Assist with activities of daily living (ADLs), personal care, and companion care.
• Help with light housekeeping, meal preparation, and daily routines.
• Maintain open, reliable communication with admin and supervisory team.

What You’ll Do

As an In-Home Caregiver, you will provide essential, non-medical support to help clients maintain their independence and quality of life in the comfort of their homes.

• Assist clients with activities of daily living (ADLs), personal care, and companion care.
• Help with light housekeeping, meal preparation, and daily routines.
• Provide attentive, empathetic, and patient-centered care.
• Keep open, reliable communication with our admin and supervisory team.

Position Requirements

• Age & Education: Must be 18 years or older with a High School Diploma or GED equivalent.
• Character: A genuinely caring heart for seniors and individuals with disabilities, paired with a strong work ethic and high reliability.
• Transportation: Must have a valid driver's license, a reliable personal vehicle, and proof of active car insurance.

This is a Part-Time position with opportunities to expand. While our primary hub is in Topeka, we serve several surrounding communities. Client care needs fluctuate, so while full-time hours are not guaranteed immediately, dedicated and reliable caregivers frequently gain extra hours and new client placements near home.
