Job description

Reporting to the Medical Director of Adult Medicine, the Family Practice Physician provides comprehensive medical services for members of families within scope of training. This includes preventative care, immunizations, primary care and treatment, prescribing of medications, ordering and interpreting lab testing and physical examinations.

Responsibilities:
  • Provide routine, acute, urgent, preventive, curative, and rehabilitative medical care to members of families, within the approved skills profile and/or scope of practice.
  • Review patient file/record, including allergies, problems, medications and immunization status.
  • Take detailed histories and perform complete physical examinations.
  • Order or execute various tests, analyses and diagnostic images to provide information on patient’s condition.
  • Analyze reports and findings of tests and examination and diagnose condition of patient.
  • Administer or prescribe appropriate pharmacological agents and treatments.
  • Discuss any possible side effects to medication or immunization with patient.
  • Prescribe vaccinations to immunize patient from communicable diseases.
  • Complete timely and appropriate documentation in the Electronic Health Record (EHR) system, including but not limited to, contact logs, progress notes, evaluation notes and script writing.
  • Maintain productivity performance as may be required to satisfy practice goals.
  • Adhere to TRUECARE Medical Staff Bylaws and comply with TRUECARE clinical guidelines.
  • Participate in provider meetings.
  • Attend continuing education programs and provide evidence of necessary education completion to upgrade medical skills and maintain licensing requirements.
Qualifications:
  • Doctor of Medicine (M.D.) degree from a medical school accredited by the American Medical Association or a Doctor of Osteopathy (D.O.) degree from a medical school accredited by the American Osteopathic Association.
  • Board Certified or Board Eligible in a Primary Care Field.
  • Completion of an approved program of residency training in family practice.
  • Computer proficiency, particularly with Electronic Health/Medical Record systems.

The pay range for this role is $265,000 - $400,000 on an annual basis.

In addition to those factors, we believe in the importance of pay equity and consider the internal equity of our current team members when determining any final offer. Please keep in mind that the range mentioned above is the full base salary range for the role. Hiring at the maximum of the range would not be typical to allow for future and continued salary growth. We also offer generous benefits and retirement plans.
