BURNCO Rock Products Ltd in Colorado is seeking an experienced Ready-Mix Operations Manager to lead safety, productivity, and efficiency across our Colorado ready-mix operations. You will oversee plant and fleet maintenance, production quality control, and cross-functional collaboration to meet customer demand.

This full-time role requires a bachelor’s degree and 10+ years in operations leadership, with strong P&L insight, people development, and exceptional communication.

Responsibilities

• Manage resources, projects, and inventory; coordinate with procurement.
• Build strategic relationships with Sales, Dispatch, Operations, Safety and HR.
• Prepare reports and present results for proposals and business activities.
• Conduct monthly staff meetings and P&L reviews.

We are #hiring a Ready-Mix Operations Manager based in Colorado to provide leadership across our ready-mix operations, support business performance, and build strong relationships across teams. If you bring strong leadership, problem-solving, and communication skills, along with a focus on safety, teamwork, and operational excellence

You will lead the area management team across all concrete production and delivery operations for the Colorado ready-mix division, including plant maintenance, fleet maintenance, production quality control, and operational site responsibilities. The primary areas of responsibility include safety culture, resource optimization, productivity and efficiency, and meeting customer demand.

What you will be doing

• Provide leadership and direction to operations staff regarding the production and delivery of ready-mixed concrete
• Create a strong safety culture and an environment of accountability and teamwork
• Work with General Managers to improve profitability through P&L and other reporting tools
• Train, mentor, and motivate the management team
• Create a collaborative working culture with other departments focused on quality, service, and safety
• Monitor industry trends and best practices and recommend strategic changes to improve ready-mix productivity and efficiency
• Oversee business plans and manage personnel, financial, and material resources
• Manage capital projects, production planning, and inventory
• Work with Procurement on preferred and bulk vendor pricing
• Resolve barriers to productivity, performance, and customer satisfaction
• Monitor raw material supply, both internal and external, to plant locations
• Build strategic relationships with stakeholders across Sales, Dispatch, Operations, Fleet, Quality Control, Procurement, Safety, and Human Resources
• Prepare reports and presentations related to proposals, results, and other business activities
• Conduct monthly staff meetings and P&L reviews with General Managers
• Perform other duties as assigned

What we would like from you

• Bachelor’s degree or higher in a related or applicable field preferred
• 10+ years of related industry experience
• Experience leading business enterprises with broad responsibilities, including safety, operations, and team building
• Demonstrated leadership ability, including motivating others, resolving conflicts, and building effective teams
• Exceptional communication and interpersonal skills, with the ability to interact productively with individuals across all levels of the organization
• Excellent proactive problem-solving and analytical skills

Location and other key details:

• This is a full-time, permanent position based out of our Colorado Corporate Office, with frequent travel between plant locations, construction job sites, customer offices, and other locations as required
• Must possess a valid driver’s license with a clean motor vehicle record (MVR)
• Ability to travel up to 75% of the time to assigned plant locations and construction job sites, both locally and nationally
• Successful candidates will be required to complete a criminal background check as part of the pre-employment process
• Ability to sit for extended periods, stand, walk, climb stairs, type, conduct field visits, and actively manage portable plant mobilization and new plant construction

Salary Range: $140,000-$170,000 USD
