Job summary

CalPortland in Bremerton is seeking a full-time driver to deliver ready-mix concrete. Responsibilities include conducting vehicle inspections, safe operation of a multi-axle truck, and maintaining the vehicle's cleanliness. Candidates must hold a current Commercial Class A or B driver’s license and have a strong safety record.

Qualifications

• Must have current Commercial Class A or B driver’s license with airbrakes and tank endorsement.
• Safe driving record - no serious moving violations within the past 36 months.
• Must have a current Department of Transportation (DOT) Medical Certificate.
• Ability to work in extremes of hot and cold weather.

Responsibilities

• Conduct daily pre-trip/post-trip vehicle inspections.
• Deliver ready-mix concrete to various job sites.
• Operate a multi-axle mixer truck safely.
• Clean and wash vehicle, including removal of concrete buildup.

Skills

Commercial Class A or B driver’s license

Safe driving record

Ability to read a map and GPS instructions

Familiarity with slumps

Physical ability to lift up to 60 lbs

Good attendance and punctuality

Education

High School Diploma/GED
