Job summary

CalPortland is seeking a Ready-Mix Driver to transport freshly mixed concrete from the batch plant to job sites in a safe, timely manner. You will perform basic equipment adjustments and support efficient operations while delivering excellent customer service.

The role requires a valid Commercial Driver's License, DOT medical certificate, ability to read maps and GPS directions, and the stamina to work in varying weather. Location: Solvang, CA, with overtime and weekend hours as needed.

Qualifications

• Must have current Commercial Class A or B license with airbrakes and tank endorsement.
• DOT Medical Certificate required.
• Ability to read a map and understand GPS driving routes.
• Physically capable of lifting up to 60 lbs and working in extreme temperatures.
• Flexible schedule with overtime, weekends, and night shifts as required.

Responsibilities

• Conduct daily pre-trip and post-trip vehicle inspections.
• Deliver ready-mix concrete to various job sites.
• Operate a multi-axle mixer truck safely and legally.
• Maintain cleanliness of vehicle and remove concrete buildup.
• Communicate with company personnel via radio.
• Follow safety regulations and report incidents promptly.
• Attend safety meetings as scheduled.
• Work with customer demands and adapt as needed.
