Position Overview

The concrete mixer truck driver safely operates a vehicle to manufacture, deliver, and unload ready-mixed concrete, following work assignments from dispatchers or plant managers. Deliveries are made to challenging and congested sites. Work hours vary based on customer demand. Additional duties include truck and plant cleanliness, which may involve shoveling and sweeping.

Minimum requirement: Class B CDL

Key Responsibilities

• Operate the truck safely and efficiently
• Maintain cleanliness of the vehicle and work area
• Follow OSHA and USDOT/FMCSA safety practices
• Use PPE as directed
• Deliver concrete to construction sites following laws and instructions
• Communicate with dispatch regarding deliveries
• Perform safety checks and maintain the vehicle
• Interact with customers, handle transactions, and answer questions
• Perform pre-trip and post-trip inspections
• Utilize tablets and GPS for navigation
• Assist with truck and plant maintenance and yard work

Personal Protective Equipment

Wear gloves, hard hats, reflective vests, safety shoes, and seatbelts as required.

Qualifications

High school diploma preferred or equivalent; 1+ year related experience; valid Class B CDL; ability to interpret documents, perform basic math, and apply common sense instructions.

Physical & Work Environment

Regularly lift up to 50 pounds, handle tools, and work in various weather conditions with moderate noise levels.
