Job summary

Croell, Inc. in Gillette, WY is looking for a Ready Mix Driver to deliver concrete to construction sites. You will operate short-haul routes, perform pre/post-trip inspections, and ensure quality concrete with proper slump. Training is available for newcomers and experienced drivers alike.

This full-time role offers overtime, a competitive hourly wage of $28-$30 plus benefits and a 401(k) with company match. Overnight travel may be required depending on routes and project needs.

Qualifications

• Class A or B CDL and valid Medical DOT card.
• Consent to pre-employment screen, MVR, and drug test.
• Excellent written and verbal communication.
• Dependable attendance and reliability.
• Ability to work in various weather and outdoor conditions.
• Overnight travel may be required.
• Personal protective equipment provided.

Responsibilities

• Safely operate a ready mix truck and follow DOT routes.
• Pre- and post-trip inspections per DOT standards.
• Check slump and load size; inspect mix designs.
• Perform wash-downs and equipment cleaning.
• Provide courteous customer service and collect payment.
• Maintain vehicles, plant, and shop for safety.
• Complete paperwork via tablets or phones (trip tickets, logs).
• Cross-train in dispatching, batching, mechanics as needed.
• Perform duties beyond listed scope as needed.

Responsibilities

• Safely operate a ready mix truck, complying with DOT regulations and following assigned routes.
• Complete pre‑ and post‑trip inspections to meet DOT standards and report maintenance issues.
• Visually inspect mix designs, verify load size, and check slump to ensure proper concrete delivery.
• Perform wash‑downs at job sites as directed and clean equipment upon return to plant.
• Provide courteous customer service, collect payment, and maintain professional communication.

• Accurately complete required paperwork using tablets or cell phones (trip tickets, logs, reports).
• Work collaboratively and be willing to cross‑train in dispatching, batching, mechanics, etc.

Requirements

• Class A or B CDL and current Medical DOT card.
• Personal protective equipment required.
