Ready Mix Driver

Hourly: $28 - $30/hr (based on experience). Full‑time with overtime.
Overview
A ready mix driver delivers concrete to various construction projects. You will operate short‑haul routes, check concrete quality, and serve customers professionally. This position is suitable for both experienced drivers and newcomers; training programs are available.

Responsibilities
- Safely operate a ready mix truck, complying with DOT regulations and following assigned routes.
- Complete pre‑ and post‑trip inspections to meet DOT standards and report maintenance issues.
- Visually inspect mix designs, verify load size, and check slump to ensure proper concrete delivery.
- Perform wash‑downs at job sites as directed and clean equipment upon return to plant.
- Provide courteous customer service, collect payment, and maintain professional communication.
- Maintain vehicles, plant, and shop to promote safety and organization.
- Accurately complete required paperwork using tablets or cell phones (trip tickets, logs, reports).
- Work collaboratively and be willing to cross‑train in dispatching, batching, mechanics, etc.
- Perform duties beyond the listed scope as needed.
Requirements
- Consent to pre‑employment work screen, Motor Vehicle Record request, and drug test.
- Class A or B CDL and current Medical DOT card.
- Personal protective equipment required.
- Understand both written and verbal instructions from supervisors.
- Excellent written and verbal communication skills.
- Dependable and reliable attendance at scheduled shifts.
- Positive attitude to foster productive relationships.
- Ability to work in various weather and outdoor conditions.
- Overnight travel may be required.
