Ampact is looking for a Teacher in Training to support students in reading at a local school in Albertville, Minnesota. You'll help students improve their reading skills while pursuing your master’s degree through the University of Minnesota.
This full-time position runs from August 2026 to June 2027, with daytime hours aligned with school schedules. Candidates must be enrolled in the Grow Your Own Teacher Program and meet other essential qualifications.

Join Reading Corps as a Teacher in Training and you’ll spend your days at a local school helping students improve their skills while simultaneously pursuing your master’s degree in education through the University of Minnesota. With hands‑on support and coaching, we’ll prepare you to become a great educator and help kids succeed!
Every school day you’ll see pairs of students for 20 minutes of reading practice. You’ll also complete 36 hours of university coursework, field experience, and student teaching over the course of two years.

Full‑time AmeriCorps members receive a paycheck (stipend) every two weeks.
