Job summary

Ampact's Reading Corps seeks Reading Tutors to help students in local schools build essential reading skills. You will deliver 20-minute tutoring blocks, coach students, and track progress with guidance from an on-site coach.

We provide training, a weekday daytime schedule, and opportunities for growth. This AmeriCorps program offers a biweekly stipend and education awards; applicants must be 18+, have a high school diploma, and be a U.S. citizen, national, or permanent resident.

Qualifications

• Fluent in English for speaking, reading, and writing.

Responsibilities

• Be a caring adult who's focused on helping children thrive.
• Lead tutoring sessions and follow a schedule to ensure students receive support.
• Track student progress and meet regularly with the school's on-site coach.
• Conduct skill assessments and enter student scores in data software.
• Commit to your own growth through coaching and training.
• Share your experience with the community.
