Reading Corps, administered by Ampact, is seeking a Reading Tutor to support students at a local New York school. You will lead daily 20-minute reading sessions, coach students, and help them build confidence and skills.

You will track progress, conduct assessments, and enter scores in data software while engaging in ongoing coaching and professional development. Some positions are part-time; others offer a fuller 35-hour week schedule.

Qualifications

• Dependable with good attendance and reliability.
• Able to follow instructions and apply feedback.
• Proficient with basic computer tasks (email, online navigation).
• Fluent in English (speaking, reading, writing).
• 18 years of age or older with a high school diploma or equivalent.

Responsibilities

• Be a caring adult focused on helping children thrive.
• Lead tutoring sessions and follow a schedule to ensure students receive support.
• Track student progress and meet with the school's on-site coach.
• Conduct skill assessments and enter scores in data software.
