Job summary

Middletown City Schools is seeking a Reading Tutor for Amanda Elementary in Middletown, Ohio. This full-time role supports literacy initiatives location-based at Amanda Elementary.

Qualified candidates hold an Ohio Teaching Certificate, a Master’s in Reading or endorsement within the first year, and must pass required background checks. Additional Title I reading endorsement eligibility may apply.

Qualifications

• Must hold Ohio Teaching Certificate/License (HQT requirements for grade level and subject area).
• Must hold either Master's in Reading or meet state reading criteria or Reading Endorsement, or be willing to earn endorsement within first year.

Location: Amanda Elementary

Qualifications:

1. Baccalaureate degree in field of education.
2. Holds a current and valid Ohio Teaching Certificate/License. Meets HQT requirements for grade level and subject area.
3. Must hold either Master's in Reading, meet state required reading criteria, or Reading Endorsement or be willing to earn endorsement within first year of employment, for Title I Reading Tutors.
4. Demonstrates a sincere desire to aid all students.
5. Acceptable BCII report and FBI report.
6. Ability to meet all job expectations and objectives.
7. Such alternatives to the above qualifications as the Superintendent and/or Board of Education may find appropriate
