Qualifications
Must have experience working with K-12 children.
Required instructional certificates for Pennsylvania, either I or II.
Valid Reading Specialist Certification is necessary.
Responsibilities
Implements the Reading School District reading initiatives.
Conducts assessments to evaluate students' reading abilities.
Plans and implements a remedial reading program.
Interprets student needs and progress to teachers and parents.
Recommends varied instructional materials for reading.
Conducts workshops on reading instruction methods.
Confers with parents about students' special reading issues.
Interprets test results and data related to reading.
Maintains necessary records and reports for the role.
Performs other assigned duties.
