Qualifications

• Must have experience working with K-12 children.
• Required instructional certificates for Pennsylvania, either I or II.
• Valid Reading Specialist Certification is necessary.

Responsibilities

• Implements the Reading School District reading initiatives.
• Conducts assessments to evaluate students' reading abilities.
• Plans and implements a remedial reading program.
• Interprets student needs and progress to teachers and parents.
• Recommends varied instructional materials for reading.
• Conducts workshops on reading instruction methods.
• Confers with parents about students' special reading issues.
• Interprets test results and data related to reading.
• Maintains necessary records and reports for the role.
• Performs other assigned duties.
• List of responsibilities may change as needed.
