Job summary

Lesley University invites applications for adjunct faculty to teach weekend, online and in-person classes within our Specialist Teacher of Reading program at the graduate level. Courses include Assessment, Culturally Responsive Teaching, Content Literacy Instruction, Targeted Reading & Writing Instruction, Literacy Leadership and Vocabulary Comprehension Curriculum.

Classes are taught on-campus and in-person.

Qualifications

• Master’s degree in Literacy, Reading Education, or related field
• Massachusetts DESE license or equivalent
• 5+ years of successful teaching experience at the PreK-12 level
• Knowledge of social justice education
• Constructivist, inquiry-based learning with student engagement
• PhD or terminal degree preferred
• Experience teaching at undergraduate or graduate level
