Job summary

The Diocese of Nashville invites applications for an Academic Interventionist to provide targeted instruction in reading and mathematics and monitor student progress within a Catholic school setting.

You will collaborate with teachers, families, and school leaders to identify needs and implement evidence-based strategies that support diverse learners while modeling Catholic values and promoting each child's dignity.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree in Elementary Education, Reading, Special Education, or a related field required.
• Knowledge of evidence-based instructional practices, assessment tools, and progress monitoring.
• Strong communication, organizational, and collaboration skills.
• Commitment to supporting the mission and values of Catholic education.

Responsibilities

• Provide small-group and individualized instruction in reading, mathematics, and other identified academic areas.
• Design and implement evidence-based intervention plans that address students' individual learning needs.
• Work closely with classroom teachers to identify students requiring intervention and coordinate instructional support.
• Participate in student support meetings, parent conferences, and faculty meetings as needed.
• Communicate regularly with teachers and families regarding student progress and recommendations.
• Support and uphold the mission, philosophy, and teachings of the Catholic Church.
