Job summary

Superdrug in Winchester is seeking an Apprentice Sales Assistant to join our team. You’ll serve customers with a smile, share Star Buys and help the store hit its targets while training in-store for the Retailer Level 2 Apprenticeship.

Training takes place in-store for 12 months with no college days; you’ll be supported by your team and tutor as you grow into leadership opportunities. GCSE English and Maths are required; UK work eligibility is essential.

Qualifications

• Grade 4/C GCSE in English and Maths (or equivalent).
• Not currently in any education program and available for full-time shifts.
• No Retail Apprenticeship required.
• Eligible to work in the UK.
• Brand new to retail.

Responsibilities

As an Apprentice Sales Assistant at Superdrug, you’ll be right at the heart of the action—serving customers with a smile, sharing our amazing Star Buys, and making sure everyone leaves feeling great!

You’ll help keep the store looking its best and fully stocked, while playing a key role in smashing store targets.

It’s a hands‑on, fast‑paced role that’s never boring and packed with chances to learn. We see our Apprentice Sales Assistants as future Team Leaders, and we’ll give you everything you need to grow—with brilliant training, and real opportunities to progress.

Your training will take place in-store over the first 12 months, so no college days and no homework! At the end of your training period, you will complete a discussion around your experiences and an observation of you performing your role. You will be supported throughout by your team and your tutor to achieve your Retailer Level 2 Apprenticeship

What you’ll bring to the role:

Passionate about health & beauty and customer service

Desire to learn and improve your knowledge/skills

Flexible in working hours and adaptable to change

• You have a grade 4 / C GCSE (or equivalent) in English and maths (national 4’s for Scotland)
• You are not currently in any form of education, and you are available for full time shifts
• You HAVEN’T completed a Retail Apprenticeship before
• You are eligible to work in the UK
• You are brand new to retail
