Job summary

Net Zero Careers Accelerator (NZCA) is seeking an Apprentice Electrician in Suffolk/Cambridgeshire to train with experienced electricians on solar PV installations and heat pump systems while completing college one day per week.

This is a practical, hands-on apprenticeship offering exposure to electrical work across domestic and commercial installations, with the goal of becoming a qualified electrician in the growing renewable energy sector.

Qualifications

• This is a practical, hands-on apprenticeship.

• Learn to use electrical tools and equipment safely.
• Maintain clean and organised work areas.
• Follow health and safety procedures and safe working practices.

• Develop practical and technical electrical skills through on-the-job training.
• Any previous practical, construction, electrical or engineering experience is relevant.

Suffolk and Cambridgeshire and are looking for an enthusiastic

Apprentice Electrician to join their team.

You will work alongside experienced electricians and gain practical experience across

solar PV installations, heat pump systems and general electrical work, while completing your apprenticeship training at a local college.

The role offers the opportunity to develop practical electrical skills while building a career in the growing renewable energy and low-carbon sector.

Hours: Monday to Friday

College: One day per week on release to a local college
