Job summary

Cambian is seeking an OFSTED Registered Manager – Intake & Assessment for a 3-bed children’s residential home. The role focuses on overseeing admissions, planning and providing daily programmes that meet each child’s needs, while leading a skilled team in a supportive, outcome-oriented environment.

You will work within CareTech’s leadership framework, participate in induction, development training, and incentive schemes, with competitive pay (£50,000-£60,000 DOE) and a £5,000 welcome bonus.

Essential Requirements and Experience

• Passionate about making the difference to the lives of young people in care.
• Relevant Experience: At least 2 years in a position related to residential care of children, with at least 1 year in a supervisory role within the last 5 years.
• Qualifications: Level 3 in Children's Residential Care is essential. Level 5 in Leadership and Management for Residential Childcare is preferred at point of application, if not then you must be enrolled on the Level 5 within 6 months of starting in post.
• Knowledge: Understanding of The Quality Standards, SCCIF, childcare legislation, and regulatory requirements.
• Skills: Efficient in; planning, organizing, budget control, resource allocation, and team leadership.
• Communication: Confidence in effective spoken and written communication.
• Understanding Trauma: Knowledge of the needs of children with behavioural, emotional and social difficulties, including managing challenging behaviour.
• Driving License: Full UK required.
