Job summary

General Dynamics Electric Boat in Groton, CT seeks a Module Lead for the Reactor Plant Module construction on the SSBN 826 program. You will serve as the primary technical liaison to the construction team, provide engineering oversight, and coordinate a multi-disciplinary effort through design, fabrication, and test phases.

The role involves heavy collaboration with trades, frequent participation in shipyard meetings, and occasional travel to support module deployment at adjacent sites.

Qualifications

• Bachelor of Science in Engineering required.
• 5+ years of post-graduate engineering experience.
• Ability to obtain a DoD Secret clearance or higher.

Responsibilities

• Provide engineering oversight to emergent shipyard issues and communicate assessments.
• Support trades daily in navigating disclosures and work packages.
• Prioritize and drive engineering changes to support construction activities.
• Attend production meetings and report holdups; drive actions for work package development and procurement.
• Coordinate multidisciplinary teams to identify risks and communicate engineering paths.
• Conduct multidisciplinary evaluations to support manufacturing and construction needs.
• Support testing, certification events and government meetings.
