Job summary

Elsevier is seeking a collaborative ReactJS and Java API software developer to be a critical part of our agile delivery process for software development. The role focuses on building evidence-based oncology pathways and integrating with clinical workflows embedded in EHRs to guide cancer care at the point of care.

You will design, develop, and maintain scalable web applications, create robust RESTful APIs, and collaborate with product managers, QA, UX, DevOps, and external partners to deliver

Qualifications

• Proficiency in ReactJS development.
• Proficiency in Java Spring Boot API development.
• Ability to quickly pick up new languages and technologies.
• Ability to work well with internal and external technology resources.
• Ability to write and review detailed specifications for moderately complex system components.
• Knowledge of Agile or Waterfall software development methodologies.

Responsibilities

• Design, develop, and maintain scalable web applications using ReactJS.
• Build and optimize RESTful Java APIs and backend services with MS SQL Server and IIS.
• Contribute to full-stack development ensuring performance and reliability.
• Write clean, maintainable code with established standards.
• Translate business requirements into functional and technical solutions.
• Design and optimize SQL queries, stored procedures, and database schemas in MS SQL Server.
