Job summary

Elsevier is seeking a collaborative ReactJS and Java API software developer to join a mission-driven team building evidence-based oncology pathways and integrating with clinical workflows, including EHRs, so oncologists can access guidance at the point of care.

You will design, develop, and maintain scalable web applications using ReactJS, build RESTful Java APIs with SQL Server, and collaborate across product, QA, UX, DevOps, and external partners to deliver high-quality, data-driven solutions.

Qualifications

• Proficiency in ReactJS and Java Spring Boot API development.
• Ability to quickly learn new languages and technologies.
• Experience with Agile or Waterfall software development methodologies.
• Ability to write and review detailed specifications for moderate-complexity components.
• Experience building RESTful services and backend integration.

Responsibilities

• Designing, developing, and maintaining scalable web applications using ReactJS.
• Building and optimizing RESTful Java APIs and backend services leveraging Microsoft SQL Server and IIS.
• Contributing to full-stack development, ensuring high performance, responsiveness, and reliability across applications.
• Writing clean, maintainable, and well-documented code following established coding standards.
• Translating business requirements into functional and technical solutions.
• Collaborating with product managers, QA, UX, DevOps, and other engineering teams to deliver high-quality solutions.
