Job summary

State Street Bank and Trust Company in Boston, MA seeks a Software Engineer for front-end work on a sophisticated electronic trading system. You will build and maintain React-based UIs, consume REST APIs and GraphQL, and contribute to performance, scalability, and usability.

You will collaborate with product managers and engineers, participate in code reviews, and help shape architecture using Docker, Kubernetes, and modern front-end tooling.

Qualifications

• 5+ years of hands-on experience as a Software Engineer focused on front-end development
• Bachelor's degree in Computer Science or related field required; master's accepted with 3+ years of frontend exp
• Strong proficiency with ReactJS, JavaScript/TypeScript, HTML/CSS and modern tooling

Responsibilities

• Develop, maintain and enhance front-end UIs for a sophisticated electronic trading system.
• Collaborate with cross-functional teams to gather requirements and implement technical specs.
• Lead medium-sized frontend projects from start to finish and participate in code reviews.
• Maintain microservices-based front-end architecture using Docker and Kubernetes.
