Job summary

BC Forward is seeking a React Front-End Developer specializing in accessibility and WCAG to support a 12-month contract engagement in Charlotte, NC. This role requires five to seven years of front-end experience with React (Redux, Router, Hooks), HTML5, CSS3, JavaScript, and a strong WCAG focus.

Qualifications

• 5–7 years of front-end development experience.
• Strong React expertise including Redux, Router, and Hooks.
• Proficiency HTML5, CSS3, JavaScript, jQuery, Ajax, JSON.
• Deep understanding of WCAG AA/AAA accessibility.
• Experience with enterprise/government apps and accessibility testing tools.

Responsibilities

• Develop, test, and deploy responsive, accessible React apps with UX colleagues.
• Collaborate with product owners to shape front-end solutions and estimate work.
• Translate designs into accessible semantic HTML/CSS integrated with APIs.
• Write unit tests and contribute to CI/CD and release notes.
