Job summary

Food Authority, INC is seeking a warehouse associate to support safe storage and accurate fulfillment of food products. The role emphasizes proper handling, freezing requirements, FIFO inventory and timely, precise picking and stocking.

Shift 6:00am - 2:30pm five days a week, with Wednesdays and Saturday as scheduled days off; Rate: $18.00 per hour. Must have Stand Up Reach Truck experience and be able to work in a freezer environment.

Qualifications

• Experience operating stand-up reach trucks.
• Ability to rotate stock and manage inventory.
• Ability to fill pick slots and put away frozen deliveries.
• Commitment to safety policies and procedures.
• Experience with Warehouse Management Systems and RF devices.
• Able to work in a freezer environment.
• Strong attention to detail in fast-paced environments.

Responsibilities

• Load and unload trucks using provided equipment.
• Check and count freight for accuracy and damage.
• Take inventory as needed.
• Direct product to correct area in the warehouse.
• Report faulty equipment and safety hazards to supervisor.

Description: The objective of this position is to exceed the customer’s expectation of service by assuring the safe transportation and delivery of food to customer locations, following company policies and procedures. Assuring shipment of temperature controlled and undamaged product, proper count of goods at customer locations, assuring inventory levels are FIFO in the customer locations.

Required skills and abilities:

Must have Stand Up Reach Machine experience

Required to rotate stock

Fill pick slots

Put away all incoming frozen deliveries

Follows all safety requirements and policies

Physical requirements:

The ability to lift 25/50/80 pounds regularly

The ability to respond quickly to sounds

The ability to move safely over uneven terrain or in confined spaces

The ability to see and respond to dangerous situations

Must be 18yrs or over

1 year Reach Truck experience

Familiarity with Warehouse Management Systems and Radio Frequency.

Must have Stand Up Reach Machine experience

Must be able to work in a freezer environment

Safe and accurate receipt, storage, and shipment of food products utilizing equipment and radio frequency equipment.

Ability to work in fast-paced environment.

Ability to pay close attention to details and meet deadlines.

Accountabilities:

Promote safe work environment through personal actions.

Load and unload trucks and containers using equipment provided in safe and efficient manner.

Check and count freight for accuracy and/or damage. Take inventory as needed.

Direct product to correct area in warehouse.

Report faulty equipment, damage to racks, and other safety hazards to supervisor.
