Qualifications

• High school diploma/GED or equivalent related experience.
• Experience with material handling equipment (1 year with electric pallet jack or 1–3 years with other equipment).
• RF scanner and WMS experience preferred.
• Ability to follow procedures and work instructions.
• Reading and writing ability.
• Ability to communicate with coworkers, leads, supervisors, and manager.
• Ability to perform basic arithmetic.

Responsibilities

• Order Picking – pick orders for shipment according to instructions on bill of lading or pick sheet and assemble merchandise.
• Order Packing – pack orders to minimize damage in transit.
• Checking – verify freight for accuracy and damages.
• Unloading/Loading – accurately load/unload product per requirements.
• Operate material handling equipment safely and maintain batteries as needed.
• Utilize equipment including Electric Pallet Jack, Reach Truck, Forklift as trained.
• Support in inventories and pallet repair or trailer cleanup as needed.
• Maintain clean, organized work area and warehouse security.
• Attend safety training and follow safety guidelines.

HIRING IMMEDIATELY: REACH/PALLET JACK OPERATOR IN ROMEOVILLE, IL

Accurate Personnel is hiring immediately for a Reach Truck/Electric Pallet Jack Operator to join our team in Romeoville, Illinois. This individual will be responsible for the accurate order picking, receiving, put-away, loading, unloading and/or shipping of product to meet company standards including safety, security, damage free, and productivity. The ideal candidate will possess a high school diploma/GED or equivalent related experience, ability to follow procedures and work instructions, and more listed below.

Pay, Schedule, and Location

• Starting at $20-$21.50/hour
• Excellent benefits package, including medical, dental, and vision
• Monday- Friday 7am-3:30pm plus overtime ($20)
• Sunday-Thursday 4pm-12:30am ($21.50)
• Located in Romeoville, Illinois

Duties and Responsibilities

• Order Picking – pick orders for shipment according to instructions on bill of lading or pick sheet and assemble various types of merchandise to be shipped in an accurate method
• Order Packing – pack orders for shipment in a way that reduces the ability for damage to occur in transit
• Checking – check or count freight for accuracy and/or damages
• Unloading/Unloading – accurate loading/unloading of product to meet company requirements
• Operate material handling equipment in a manner which promotes safety and security using safety equipment as required. Charge batteries as needed
• Equipment specified including, but not limited to: Electric Pallet Jack/Walkie Rider, Reach Truck, Cherry Picker, Standup Forklift, Dock Stocker and/or SitDown Forklift
• Participate in physical inventories and perform labeling, sorting, wrapping, packing, and re-packing as needed. Assist with repair pallets and/or clean out trailers if necessary
• Maintain a clean, neat, and orderly work area. Assist in maintaining the security of the warehouse
• Follow all safety and security regulations and company guidelines
• Complete all safety training within the specified timeframe, applying all appropriate actions
• Utilize all tools and equipment as trained to do so, stopping when unsafe
• Regular attendance and timeliness is an essential function of the job. Overtime may be required

• Any other duties and responsibilities as assigned

Requirements and Qualifications

• High school diploma/GED or equivalent related experience
• Previous experience with material operating equipment (minimum 1 year with electric pallet jack and/or a minimum of 1-3 years with other material operating equipment)
• Previous experience using RF Scanner and WMS systems preferred
• Ability to follow procedures and work instructions
• Ability to read and write legibly
• Ability to communicate with co-workers, leads, supervisors, and/or manager as to progress in tasks/functions being performed
• Ability to perform calculations involving adding, counting, subtracting, division and multiplication
