Job summary

Atlantic Health is seeking a Diagnostic Medical Sonographer to operate ultrasound equipment, capture diagnostic images, and assist in imaging procedures. The role requires preparing high-quality images for PACS and maintaining a clean, compliant department.

The successful candidate will possess an associate or bachelor’s degree, completion of a diagnostic sonography certificate, and RDMS certification, ensuring accurate exams and patient care in a busy imaging department.

Qualifications

• Associate or bachelor’s degree in sciences/anatomy or equivalent for registration/licensing.
• Certificate program in diagnostic sonography completed.
• RDMS certification is required.

Responsibilities

• Set up and adjust ultrasound equipment and manually maneuver transducers for exams.
• Prepare high-quality images and documentation for PACS.
• Maintain department cleanliness and order and ensure regulatory compliance.
• Recognize structures, artifacts, and pathology; report equipment limitations.
