Job summary

MarinHealth Medical Center is seeking an Ultrasound Technician II for per diem, variable shifts in Greenbrae, CA. The successful candidate will perform diagnostic ultrasound exams under radiology supervision, maintain image quality, and communicate findings to Radiologists.

Requirements include at least 2 years of FT ultrasound tech experience, RDMS certification, BLS, and the ability to work independently in a fast-paced hospital environment. ATS and IAMTAC compliance are noted in job postings.

Qualifications

• High school diploma or equivalent preferred; AS degree highly desirable.
• For Ultrasound Tech II, two years full-time paid ultrasound experience in an acute care facility required.
• RDMS board certification (Abdomen and/or OB/GYN) required at hire.

Responsibilities

• Perform diagnostic ultrasound examinations per department policy.
• Record images with patient ID and appropriate technical factors; annotate and archive.
• Send results to Radiologist for interpretation and discuss findings as needed.
• Assist Radiologists with invasive procedures as required.
• Explain exam procedures to patients and ensure comfort and cooperation.
