Job Responsibilities

• Promote dental health through procedures like prophylaxis, oral cancer screening, radiographs, and condition charting, in compliance with the Dental Practice Act
• Prepare patients for treatment by welcoming, seating, and draping
• Provide information and answer patient questions
• Maintain and sterilize instruments
• Select appropriate materials and evaluate patients' oral health
• Perform dental prophylaxis and remove deposits and stains
• Detect disease with screenings, examinations, and radiographs
• Apply fluorides and other agents to prevent decay

Job Requirements

• Active dental hygiene license in PA
• Knowledge of dental procedures and terminology
• Understanding of HIPAA and confidentiality
• Excellent communication skills for patient education
