Job Responsibilities

• Promote dental health through prophylaxis, screenings, radiographs, and charting
• Prepare patients for treatment by welcoming and seating them
• Answer patient and staff questions
• Maintain and sterilize instruments
• Select appropriate materials and evaluate patient oral health
• Perform dental prophylaxis and detect disease, including oral cancer screening and radiographs
• Apply fluorides and cavity-preventing agents to arrest decay

Job Requirements

• Active dental hygiene license in TN
• Knowledge of dental procedures and terminology
• Understanding of HIPAA regulations and confidentiality
• Excellent communication skills for patient education
