RDH - Registered Dental Hygienist - Griffith Family Dental

Position: Registered Dental Hygienist
Job Summary
We are seeking a dedicated and skilled Dental Hygienist to join our dental team. The ideal candidate will be responsible for providing high-quality dental care to patients, focusing on preventive measures and education. New graduates are welcome to apply.
Compensation: either daily rate $540-$576 or base salary plus percentage of production.
Employment Type: Part-time W2
Work Schedule: No weekends, 3 days preferred per week - a minimum of 2 days required per week, and 8 hours per shift, work hours 8:15am – 5:15pm.

Duties

1. Perform thorough dental cleanings and examinations for patients of all ages, including pediatric dentistry.
2. Assess and record vital signs as part of patient evaluations.
3. Educate patients on oral hygiene practices and the importance of maintaining good dental health.
4. Utilize aseptic techniques to ensure a safe and clean working environment.
5. Assist in the management of patient records using Dentrix Ascend (software training is available).
6. Collaborate with dentists and dental assistants to provide comprehensive care for patients.
7. Implement infection control protocols in accordance with established guidelines.
8. Maintain equipment and instruments in accordance with infection control standards.

Qualifications

1. Valid Dental Hygienist license in the state of California.
2. Strong knowledge of aseptic techniques and infection control practices.
3. Excellent interpersonal skills with the ability to communicate effectively with patients and team members.
4. Ability to work efficiently both independently and as part of a team.
