Job summary

The Dental Specialists is seeking a Registered Dental Hygienist (RDH) for our Newton, MA practice. Expect a 4‑day workweek with no evenings or weekends, and a schedule that includes 7:45 am to 5:00 pm (Fridays to 2:00 pm).

Compensation ranges from $53 to $65 per hour based on experience, plus a $5,000 sign‑on bonus paid over six months. We offer benefits, a supportive solo‑practice environment, and opportunities to work with advanced care.

Qualifications

• Massachusetts Registered Dental Hygienist license is required.
• Ability to administer local anesthesia (MA permit) is required.
• Strong communication skills with patients and staff.

Responsibilities

• Provide prophylaxis, scaling, and periodontal maintenance for adults.
• Complete periodontal charting and take radiographs.
• Administer local anesthesia when needed.

Job Location: Newton, MA

Schedule: 3.5 days/wk, Friday end at 2pm: Tuesday–Thursday, 7:45 am – 5:00 pm; Friday, 7:45 am – 2:00 pm (no lunch). No evenings or weekends.

Required

• Current Massachusetts Registered Dental Hygienist license
• Ability to administer local anesthesia (MA permit)
• Strong communication skills and a genuine enjoyment of working with patients
• Organized, friendly, and comfortable with dental software

Nice To Have

• Hygiene experience, though new grads are encouraged to apply
• Familiarity with dental terminology and coding
