Jersey City Medical Center, part of RWJBarnabas Health, seeks a dedicated Echocardiographer to perform high-quality cardiac imaging in a busy Non-Invasive Cardiac Lab. You will contribute to accurate diagnoses and patient care by operating advanced ultrasound equipment and coordinating with physicians.

The role requires RDCS or RCS certification, strong communication, and a patient-centered approach in a fast-paced environment. Evening shifts and hourly compensation reflect local market norms.

Qualificações

• High School Diploma or equivalent.
• Active RDCS (ARDMS) or RCS certification.
• Able to operate complex cardiac ultrasound and imaging software.
• Strong interpersonal and written communication skills.

Responsabilidades

• Prepare the cardiology suite, verify physician orders, and review schedules.
• Explain ultrasound procedures to patients and provide ambulatory assistance.
• Position patients, apply gels/electrodes, adjust equipment for optimal signals.
• Capture high-quality cardiac images by adjusting transducers and reducing artifacts.
• Record measurements of heart walls, chamber sizes, and blood flow velocity.
• Complete administrative protocols and safeguard patient data.
• Collaborate with the lab team; perform EKGs, Holter mounts, and stress testing as needed.
