TireHub is seeking an RDC Operations Lead to manage shipping and receiving in our Regional Distribution Center with a strong focus on safety and customer service. Lead Hubbers, contractors, and 3PLs, while driving process improvements and cost control.

Qualifications

• BS/BA in Logistics, Business Administration or related field.
• 5+ years in operations/warehouse management.
• Experience with KPI management.
• Supervisory or management experience required.

Responsibilities

• Serve as the primary point of contact at the RDC for all operational inquiries, issues, and concerns.
• Oversees day-to-day RDC operations including scheduling and assigning work to Hubbers, contractors and 3PLs.
• Monitor progress of daily workload and ensure work is completed safely, efficiently, and effectively.
• Refine processes to increase effectiveness and RDC capacity.
• Ensure activities stay on-time and within budget.
• Monitor KPIs and performance metrics to identify improvements.
• Collaborate with Ops teams, other RDCs, contractors, and 3PL operators.
• Address customer complaints to resolution or escalate when needed.
• Identify and resolve operational bottlenecks.
• Stay up-to-date on industry trends and best practices.

RDC Operations Lead

Role Summary:

The RDC Operations Lead will be responsible for the shipping and receiving functions within the Regional Distribution Center (RDC) with a focus on safety and customer service. The RDC Operations Lead will lead and influence the day-to-day warehouse operations, display a proven ability to develop and maintain an environment of trust, diversity, and inclusion within the RDC team, including Hubbers, contractors and 3PL operators.

Role Specifics:

• Serve as the primary point of contact at the RDC for all operational inquiries, issues, and concerns
• Oversees and coordinaties the day-to-day operations of the RDC including: scheduling and assigning work to Hubbers, contractors and/or 3PL operators, monitoring progress of daily workload, and ensures work is completed safely, efficiently, and effectively.
• Refines existing processes and procedures to increase their effectiveness and efficiency while enhancing the RDCs internal capacity
• Ensures that operational activities remain on-time and within budget
• Monitors KPIs and performance metrics to identify areas of improvement
• Collaborates with Ops teams, other RDCs, contractors, and 3PL operators to ensure smooth and efficient operations
• Addresses customer complaints to resolution or escalates (TLCs and Customers) to the appropriate level in a professional and timely manner
• Identifies and resolves any operational bottlenecks
• Stays up-to-date on industry trends and best practices

Experience:

• 5+ years of applicable work experiences with a heavy focus on operations and warehouse management
• Supervisor or management experience required
• Experience with KPI management
• BS/BA in Logistics, Business administration or related field preferred

• Demonstrated people skills including influencing skills, active listening and the ability to communicate effectively to diverse groups
• Process improvement experience
• Strong planning and organizational skills, including the ability to coordinate a variety of different projects and individuals and to adapt to unforeseen and unexpected requests or changes in priorities required.
