Job summary

Crescent Electric Supply Company is hiring a Non-CDL Local Delivery Driver to ensure timely delivery and pickup of goods. You will operate company trucks, perform routine vehicle maintenance, and load/unload cargo while following safety protocols.

Responsibilities include communicating with customers and staff, maintaining routes, and supporting warehouse tasks as needed. The role requires a valid license, DOT medical certification, and 6+ months of delivery experience.

Schedule:

Monday - Friday (No Weekends)

5:30am - 2:00pm

Pay Rate: $23.50 – $24.75 per hour (Commensurate with relevant skills and experience).

As a Non-CDL Local Delivery Driver at Crescent Electric, you are responsible for the timely and accurate delivery and/or pick-up of goods to specified locations. This includes safe operation of the vehicle, vehicle maintenance, and loading/unloading trucks in an efficient manner.

Primary Duties:

• Drive company trucks making prompt, on-schedule deliveries and pick-ups while notifying management of any delays in the delivery schedule.
• Establish familiarity with delivery routes and customers’ preferences.
• Load and unload trucks in an accurate and efficient manner.
• Effectively communicate to customers and all levels of staff.
• Maintain vehicle properly and perform daily pre and post trip inspections.
• Maintain a harmonious relationship with co-workers and customers.
• Record damage to vehicles, product, and/or equipment.
• May assist with standard warehouse activities, as needed.

Qualifications:

• Must be 21 years of age or older.
• Must possess a valid driver's license.
• Current DOT medical certification card and/or the ability to obtain and maintain a medical certification card.
• High School Diploma or General Education Degree (GED).
• 6+ months of product delivery experience.

Physical Demands:

Often standing, walking, bending, reaching, and stooping. Occasional sitting, talking/hearing. The use of hands/fingers are often needed.

• Ability to and comfort with working at heights of up to 28 ft. using powered equipment.
• Continuous lifting and carrying of 1-20 lbs.
• Frequent lifting and carrying of 21-50 lbs.
• Occasional lifting and carrying of 51-100 lbs. with the assistance of a buddy-lift or a mechanical device

Vision requirements for driving equipment and company vehicles include:

• Close vision (clear vision at 20 inches or less).
• Distance vision (clear vision at 20 feet or more).
• Peripheral vision (ability to observe an area that can be seen up and down or to the left and right while eyes are fixed on a given point).
• Depth perception (three-dimensional vision, ability to judge distances and spatial relationships).
