Job summary

Qualifications

• Current California Registered Dental Assistant (RDA) license
• Current X-ray certification/license
• Previous dental assisting experience
• Periodontal, implant, oral surgery experience valued
• Strong knowledge of sterilization and infection-control
• Excellent chairside assisting skills
• Comfortable with dental technology and basic computer systems
• Strong communication and organizational skills
• Ability to multitask and stay organized
• Dependable, punctual, detail-oriented
• Positive attitude and willingness to learn

Responsibilities

• Assist the doctor with periodontal, implant, and surgical procedures
• Prepare patients for treatment and help them feel comfortable and confident
• Set up treatment rooms and surgical operatories
• Maintain proper sterilization, infection control, and protocols
• Take high-quality dental X-rays and imaging
• Maintain accurate and complete patient records
• Provide pre-operative and post-operative instructions
• Educate patients regarding oral hygiene and home care
• Prepare instruments, materials, and equipment for procedures
• Monitor clinical inventory and help maintain supplies
• Work closely with the doctor and team to keep schedule running smoothly
• Perform RDA duties within California law
