• Educate patients on proper oral hygiene and orthodontic appliance care.
• Place and remove brackets, archwires, ligatures, and elastics under supervision.
• Document patient records and update treatment charts in dental software.
• Communicate effectively with patients and families to ensure a positive experience.

Responsibilities:

• Assist the orthodontist chairside during orthodontic procedures, including bonding, banding, and wire adjustments
• Take and process dental X-rays, photographs, and Scans for orthodontic records
• Prepare and sterilize instruments and maintain a clean, compliant treatment area
• Educate patients on proper oral hygiene and orthodontic appliance care
• Place and remove orthodontic brackets, archwires, ligatures, and elastics under doctor supervision
• Document patient records accurately and update treatment charts in dental software
• Communicate effectively with patients and families to ensure a comfortable, positive experience

Requirements:

• Valid California Registered Dental Assistant (RDA) license required
• Prior orthodontic assisting experience helpful but not necessary
• Current X-ray certification and knowledge of infection control protocols

• Strong interpersonal and communication skills with patients of all ages
• Ability to work efficiently in a fast-paced, team-focused dental environment
