Job summary

Cherry Health in Grand Rapids, MI is seeking a Dental Assistant to provide chair-side, four-handed support, prepare operatory rooms, sterilize instruments, and maintain a safe clinical environment. You will take and process dental radiographs, assist with exams, extractions, crowns, and educate patients on oral hygiene.

Qualifications

• High school diploma or equivalent required.
• Graduate of accredited dental assisting program or equivalent experience.
• Current CPR/BLS certification and radiography certification per Michigan law.
• Registration/licensure as required for RDA (if applicable).

Responsibilities

• Prepare operatory rooms and instruments for dental procedures.
• Assist dentist during exams, fillings, extractions, crowns and other procedures.
• Take and process dental radiographs (X-rays).
• Ensure sterilization and infection control guidelines are followed.
• Educate patients on oral hygiene and post-treatment care.
• Maintain patient records and support front desk tasks as needed.
• Take and record patient vital signs as needed.
