Qualifications

• Experience with chairside assisting techniques including four-handed dentistry.
• Proficiency with dental records and documentation.
• Strong knowledge of dental terminology, anatomy, and Endodontic terminology.
• Ability to operate dental imaging equipment including X-ray machines and 3D scanners.
• Familiarity with infection control practices, aseptic technique, and sterilization procedures.
• Knowledge of Endodontic dentistry principles.
• Excellent communication skills to collaborate with team members.
• Ability to handle light front office duties such as dental coding for insurance claims and billing.

Responsibilities

Duties:

• Assist dentists chairside during endodontics, procedures with precision and confidence.
• Prepare treatment rooms by sterilizing instruments, setting up necessary supplies, and maintaining aseptic technique.
• Take dental X-rays, including digital imaging and 3D scans, ensuring accurate positioning and patient comfort.
• Manage patient records using EMR (Electronic Medical Records) , ensuring accuracy and confidentiality in compliance with HIPAA regulations.
• Perform vital signs assessments and monitor patient comfort throughout procedures; assist with dental documentation as needed.
• Support administrative tasks including scheduling appointments, verifying insurance information, and assisting the dental receptionist with patient check-in/out processes.
• Maintain infection control protocols and adhere to OSHA standards to ensure a safe environment for staff and patients.
• Educate patients on dental procedures, post-treatment care, and oral hygiene practices to promote overall oral health.
