Job summary

Intermountain Health Park City Hospital is seeking a compassionate Registered Dietitian to join our nutrition team in a role spanning inpatient clinical nutrition and outpatient lifestyle medicine. You’ll provide evidence-based medical nutrition therapy across the continuum and collaborate with physicians, nurses, pharmacists, and wellness specialists.

The position offers autonomy, a 72-hour bi-monthly schedule, nine 8-hour shifts every two weeks, with no weekends or on-call responsibilities,

Qualifications

• Registered Dietitian with the Commission on Dietetic Registration.
• For grads after Jan 1, 2024, completion of a minimum of a master’s degree by an accredited university.
• Education is verified.
• Completion of an ACEND accredited Didactic Program in Dietetics, Dietetic Internship, Coordinated Program, or graduate-level competency-based dietitian nutritionist program.
• State licensure or certification in accordance with the primary state of practice requirement for Registered Dietitians.
• If the primary state of practice requires licensure or certification, this must be obtained within 6 months of hire.
• Demonstrated ability to apply the Nutrition Care Process in multiple patient populations and/or disease types.
• Demonstrated ability to interpret and apply evidence-based research to clinical practice.
• 2 or more years of dietetics experience in a clinical setting, preferred.
• Experience in managing patients in a specialty area, preferred.
• Relevant dietetics-related specialty practice credential (CNSC, CSP, CDCES, CSO, CSR, CSOWM, etc.), preferred

Responsibilities

• Conduct comprehensive nutrition assessments and reassessments.
• Utilize the Nutrition Care Process (NCP).
• Diagnose and monitor malnutrition.
• Develop and manage enteral and parenteral nutrition support plans.
• Provide individualized nutrition education to patients and families.
• Collaborate with physicians, nursing, pharmacy, and culinary services.
• Participate in quality improvement and evidence-based practice initiatives.
• Deliver individualized Medical Nutrition Therapy.
• Support patients with chronic disease management and prevention.
• Provide nutrition counseling for weight management and metabolic health.
• Partner with providers to develop comprehensive care plans.
• Utilize evidence-based behavior change strategies.
• Conduct in-person and virtual patient visits.
• Help patients achieve sustainable lifestyle and wellness goals.
